This is my friend Korren. Her favorite colour is pink, hence all the pink!
When I created this portrait, I was in acting school, exploring my creativity, doing what I love, and nurturing my inner child who loves to perform. I had just been forced out of my job earlier that month, but I finally felt free to start living my life more authentically. It felt like a weight lifted. I was in a happier place, making new friends and building relationships. I was also growing more confident in myself as an artist and actor.
I used more pink than I intended, so I knew it had to mean something. When I looked up the symbolism of pink, "playful" resonated with me the most. Playfulness represents creativity, joy, connection, and bonding.
